The Speech and Hearing Clinic, part of the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, trains MS students to become speech-language pathologists. New training has incorporated educational best practices for working with interpreters. In particular, Seth Hayden, clinical educator, has worked with an interpreter colleague, Virginia Ramierz, of Lake Washington School District, to provide bilingual speech and language evaluations. The family and student participants have expressed their appreciation and enthusiasm for these evaluations. The Speech and Hearing Clinic continues this work to ensure access to
